Recording days have their own name and their own energy — Jason wakes up thinking about it, Kathy says it makes her a better PT, and both hosts agree it is often the most fun part of their week.
Somewhere between the first episode and the anniversary, recording days became Podcast Day — capital P, capital D. Jason has said multiple times that on mornings when they’re scheduled to record, that’s the first thought he wakes up with. Kathy’s take is that it’s made her a better PT, because she now has to articulate out loud why she uses the interventions she uses, rather than going on clinical autopilot after eleven years.
The show records at Titan Podcast Studio (formerly Cinematic Solutions, a name Jason once forgot mid-episode and was briefly sent to the “penalty box” by the engineer). The chairs are uncomfortable. The room is small. There is a code to get into the building.
Engineers across the show’s run have included Scott, Jake, and Raul. Raul attended Oregon and did the Korean heart hand gesture during a recording. His employment status has reportedly been called into question on this basis.
